Two Nebraska Based Companies Unite
As an organization over 150 years old, First National Bank is always thinking ahead. Founded in 1857 by two pioneers, Herman and Augustus Kountze, it was the first national bank chartered from Omaha west, one of the first banks to issue credit cards, and the first U.S. company to use fuel cell technology as a primary power source. In 1872, the first Arbor Day was held in Nebraska City, NE in which more than one million trees were planted in Nebraska.
Today, First National is the largest privately owned banking company in the United States, with locations in seven states and more than 6.6 million customers across the country and the Arbor Day Foundation has nearly one million members, with a mission to inspire people to plant, nurture and celebrate trees.
First National Bank is proud to partner with the Arbor Day Foundation
